From the board, december 2020

Due to the corona crisis, there is little consultation with the municipality, but it is also very quiet in our neighbourhood. Or not quite? In the evenings and nights, the neighbourhood is regularly startled by fireworks nuisance. If you also experience this problem, it is important to always report this to the municipality via the BuitenBeter app or to the police via 0900-8844. This is the only way to tackle this nuisance.

Although most activities in the neighbourhood have been reduced to zero, we were able to meet with various board members of the Hanevoet and Ooievaarsnest neighbourhood associations in September in "'t Slot". In addition to mutual acquaintance, the focus was mainly on the possibilities of joining (financial) forces for joint activities in Wijkcentrum 't Slot. For example, we discussed the activities and neighbourhood contributions for the fourth quarter and SBG will make a substantial contribution to be able to continue the activities in the fourth quarter, of course Corona-proof!

We have already welcomed some new faces to various working groups, but SBG can still use reinforcement. If you are interested in working for your neighbourhood (in a working group, with the board, participating in a neighborhood review or as a neighbourhood watch), please feel free to contact me or one of the other board members. We can then provide you with more information about the various tasks that can still be tackled.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a healthy 2021!

Daniele Gemen, secretaris SBG
